# Parts of my game are missing

If your run ended with "Some areas of your game couldn't be built", one or more areas of the map failed while the rest finished. Studs keeps what worked instead of throwing the whole run away, and marks the run as failed so you know it is not complete.

## What you can do

* **Download it.** The `.rbxl` is available, so you can [open it in Roblox Studio](/support/getting-started/do-i-need-roblox-studio) and see exactly what is there.
* **Build the missing parts.** Click retry to run the same idea again, or send a follow-up message naming the areas that are missing. Smaller areas build more reliably than one huge one.
* **[Publish](/support/publishing-to-roblox/publish-your-game-to-roblox)**** once it is complete.** Publishing is blocked while parts are missing, so you never push a half-built game to Roblox by accident.

## The map is there but feels empty

Ask for specific additions rather than a rebuild: "add a market square with six stalls near spawn", then "add trees and lamps along the main road". Asking Studs to "redo the map" can replace what you already have.
